Giant Babies Born in China

This week in Shanwei, China, a mother gave birth to one big baby (pictured). How big? Try 7.12 kilograms—that’s 15.6 pounds. And that’s not even the biggest baby born in the country this month. Searchina reports (via Yahoo! In the developed 
world, the average weight of a newborn carried to full term is 3.4 kilograms (7.5 pounds). Any child that weighs more 4.5 kilograms (9.9 pounds) is a “big baby” (macrosomia). And n98 most big babies turn out a-okay!
According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the heaviest baby born to a healthy mother was in 
Italy in 1955 when Carmelina Fedele had a son weighing 10.2 kilograms. z16 ทางเข้า That’s over 22 pounds.
